About This Two Minute Drill Guide
A fan-written companion to a fan-made game: how to play it, and how to play it well.
What this site is
Two-Minute Drill Guide is written by players of the game, for players of the game. It explains the mechanics — the drive, the calls, the grading — and then goes further, into the decision-making that actually moves a score: down and distance, fourth down, the red zone, and the clock.
It is deliberately plain. No hot takes, no highlight reels — the questions a new player actually has, and then the strategy that takes a few hundred drives to learn the hard way.
How it relates to the game
This site is not the game, and it is not affiliated with it. The game lives at nfl2mindrill.com. From here you can jump straight into it — the play page loads the game in the page when the game allows it, and sends you to it directly when it does not.
Accuracy
Mechanics described here (grading bands, the daily schedule, the modes, the data sources) are drawn from the game’s own published explanation of how it works. The game is updated over time, so where something here disagrees with the game, the game is right — and the strategy advice is written to stay true regardless, because it is about football decisions rather than a specific build.
Trademarks and data
This is an independent, fan-made guide. It is not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by the National Football League, its teams, its players or the NFLPA, nor with the makers of the game it covers. NFL, team names and player names are trademarks or property of their respective owners and are used only to identify the real games.
